DAYCARE

Daycare Rooms

Our focus in the Infant Room is, first and foremost, to meet the individual physical needs of each child.  As per individual care plans from Parents.  Care plans will be updated by Parents as their child's needs change.  We enjoy giving lots of hugs and smiles daily.  Infants are encouraged to explore and play while all needs are being monitored and taken care of.

In our "Twos" room, the children will be learning colors, basic shapes, alphabet, numbers/counting, days of the week, body parts, animals, and more.  There will also be singing, story reading, and movement activities (outdoor/gym time daily, weather permitting).  Children will also be practicing good manners and growing more independent (eating at the table, asking to be excused, etc.).

In our Preschool room, the children will continue learning colors, shapes, and numbers.  The children will also be introduced to recognizing and writing their names as well as letters and their sounds.  Using pencils, glue sticks and scissors, along with other hands on activities, the children will practice fine motor skills.  We believe children learn best through play so there is lots of singing, dancing, and taking turns in various play center.

K-Prep is short for Kindergarten Preparation.  In these rooms the children have a structured morning focusing on large and small group activities.  We learn letter and number recognition, writing, coloring, simple math skills, and so much more, including weekly themes.  The children learn greater independence, social skills, and self control, but continue to have a rest time as well as plenty of free play, both indoors and outside.

Our School Age Room, over the school year, is reserved for the "before and after school program".  This program is only offered for students of Hutchinson Elementary, and provides pick-up and drop-off at our facility.  Children receive breakfast and morning play time before being escorted to their school bus.  After school, children receive after school snack and enjoy more playtime and activities until pick-up.  Including outdoor playground time (weather permitting), time in our indoor gymnasium, or relaxing in our School Age Room.
